During the Tri to Beat Cancer expo, Dream Believe TRI coach Kim Dunker Reistad was invited to speak to the many new athletes. Speaking to a packed room of over 100 soon-to-be triathletes , Kim covered the basics of what to expect on your first triathlon. Though her talk was brief, she fielded many questions from the inquisitive audience. Topics covered by Kim included how to get prepared in the chaos of race morning, what time you should arrive, and where you should park; where to go to get your race numbers, chips, and packets; course descriptions of the swim, bike and run legs; and commonly violated USAT rules and how to avoid getting a penalty.
Kim was "excited to see all the new faces at the Tri to Beat Cancer expo" and was glad to help share with them how to tackle the day successfully.
Dream Believe TRI would like to congratulate all of the newly minted triathletes from this weekend and was glad to see all of the attendees of the clinics have successful days. DBT would also like to thank all of the organizers and volunteers for their excellent preparation. The Athens triathlon community has been growing steadily and we have needed a triathlon to bring our community together.
