Swim Training

If you are looking to perfect your stroke or have never learned how to swim, swim training sessions are just for you. Swim sessions can last 30-90 minutes long and can be done one-on-one or in small private groups. Depending on your goal the session can cover techniques and the various strokes. If you are more advanced and looking for a challenging workout that is coach monitored, Dream Believe TRI coaches offer a more specific training session focusing on tempo and lactate threshold workouts. Finally, if open water swimming is your fear or your non-strength, experienced former professional triathlete Kim Dunker leads an exceptionally strong and unintimidating program that teaches you how to relax in the open water, how to sight and how to prepare for a mass open water swim.

Run Training

Run specific training practices are held at a track, allowing for very specific and monitored workouts. These sessions can be anywhere from 30-90 minutes. Sessions include a warm up, dynamic stretching and drills specifically focusing on proper form and mechanics an efficient runner needs. A run session can also go into various speed workouts to give you an idea of what pace you should run your workouts. This also gives you an opportunity to focus on form. Lastly, run sessions include a mini core workout. Coach Dunker finds it important to maintain a strong core with your run training. ‘A strong core helps stabilize your body, prevent injuries and improve your endurance.’ The session also includes a glimpse of how to incorporate the power of the mind into your running.

Cycling Training

Cycling sessions are 60-90 minutes long. These sessions start off working on bike handling skills, mounting, dismounting, and basics of how to handle your bike. Once this is complete the session will go out on quiet country roads where you and your coach will continue to work on various biking techniques, drills, shifting, and how to efficiently ride your bike. Your coach can specifically cater the session to your riding goals and ability level. Upon completing a bike session you will feel a new-found confidence with your bike handling skills. This knowledge will allow you to hit the roads, whether it is on your own or confidently on group rides.

Weight Training

Whether you are looking to be a stronger individual or you want sport specific weight training, our sessions last 60 minutes. Maintaining strong muscles is important for any individual and is critical for optimal performance. Strength training is excellent for prevention of injuries, increasing your metabolism, energizing you and strengthening your bones; weight training reduces the risk of developing overuse injuries, strength imbalances, and even osteoporosis. Strength training sessions are designed based upon your goals and ability level. This hour-long session will leave you feeling stronger and, most important, confident to conquer what lies ahead!
